Unleash your inner artist in Carnatic Music
Hi,
I'm Varshini Vasudevan
Carnatic Vocalist
"Music Transform Lives" - believing in this quote and being more passionate about Carnatic Music, I started to learn Carnatic singing 10 years ago as a beginner. As the years flew by, I pushed myself to improvise my singing in Carnatic Music which led me to learn from Dr. Niranjana Srinivasan (disciple of Smt. Lalitha Sivakumar) for 6+ years.
Being a Software Engineer by profession, I am practising Carnatic Music on a daily basis. Music in me pushed myself to contribute something towards the Music which gives me knowledge and happiness. I wanted to transform my life towards it. So, I started a YouTube channel along with my sister(Madhuvanthi Vasudevan) who is also a Carnatic singer learning music. There is no limit in doing things, hence establishing myself as a teacher in student focused Carnatic music lessons.
I have successfully leveraged in depth knowledge of music to adapt traditional Carnatic music pedagogy to suit an online/Face to Face (Edinburgh only) among culturally diverse student groups. I am helping each student to progress successfully towards their learning goals in a more focussed manner based on their skills and adaption.
At a slow pace, teaching as a profession allows me to look after my kid and gives me the freedom to choose what time I want to take classes.
